Nobody ever says "too much clothes shopping" or "too many family vacations".

It just does not sit right, but it happens everyday in everyday situations like car buying, insurance buying, grocery buying, clothes buying, etc.....If people are willing to pay for it, it will be offered and they will be asked if they would like some more.

Keep the old car, opt for the cheaper cell phone plan (and don't go over your minutes/data), don't eat out for every meal (good for both your wallet and your health), don't buy expensive clothes, etc.

They need a place to put dirty workboots, work clothing and equipment.

Wear clothing that is professional but easy to move around in (and possibly run in, so shoes too!).

They pay cash for everything (cars, education, clothes, food, vacations) and leverage when it makes sense (real estate).

Buy warm clothes and coats and see how many houses you can buy 6 months after we get a cold snap where it hits -20 to minus 30 degrees and doesn't get above zero degrees for 3 or 4 weeks . 

It is also very damaging to clothing and carpeting, the human body, and the environment.

If the clothes etc are in poor condition I drop them at another charity that grinds up materials to make insulation.
