Recently purchased a 2,200sqft home at auction, old owners decided to leave their cats when they left (the smell was so bad you could not walk through without respirator masks).

In kitchen and baths, peel and stick grout-able vinyl tile at $1.12 sq ft.

The masks and social distancing is working.

Take a mask as a precaution, see if anyone on the JSO will help you. 

I could easily put on a mask and run new cable without causing a problem.  

I like the idea of peel & stick laminate along with a bullnose piece like this: http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/c/Black-Mounta...Seems like it would last a lot longer than carpet and not be too expensive.

New construction paint costs are $1.1 psf of FLOOR space (labor and materials) and that would include prep (putty, caulk, mask, and minor sanding), spray coat of primer-- this same paint trade would come back after you do all your final electric, final plumbing and final hvac to do a 2nd coat re-roll included in that same original price and all the trim work (including staining rails and stairs).

Hi Jerod, I don't look at any other flooring unless it is an emergency and I am out of town, then maybe some peel and stick vinyl tile until I can replace it on the next tenant move out.

The moisture around the toilet made the glue unstick and peel up.
