You could maybe twist the facts if they had a personal residence they lived in that was far from the hotel, they needed a house nearby for staff and infrequently when they manage it... 

I do get copies of the bills each month so I can see if they get behind and give them a gentle nudge if need be.

There are a lot of twists and turns that can happen in a foreclosure.

I've found that family and friends are inclined to twist the truth in order to help their loved one get offered a lease.

I buy gentle used ones from FB or craigslist.
