I will live there to fulfill the residency requirements and then utilize the property as a STR in an area very friendly to investors with great regulations already in place.The property is zoned as a duplex but has been opened up for years as a single-family and frankly will never make sense as a duplex.

With your example of staying there 1 night out of 6 months, whereever you are spending the other 6 months of the year is your primary residence.No, I mean if I spend 6 months and 1 night out of the full year at the fha residence, does that count as fulfilling the loan obligations?
