Getting Started in North Central Indiana!!!

Man, it feels like such a whirlwind since my wife and I decided to make a conscious effort to figure out how to retire early. I have lately been feeling less than fulfilled at my job/s for the last few years. My wife is a dynamo! Between us we have afforded our family a decent lifestyle by any measure. We currently own a big 4 bed 3 full bath in a very desire able area of northern Indiana. The market around here is bananas! Currently we have more jobs than we have people and a very affordable cost of living. My wife and I spent time in the travel trailer manufacturing industry. It pays very well for people that haven't gone through extended learning. If you can stay away from the drugs and alcohol that runs rampant you stand a damn good chance of having a really nice lifestyle. While you are young. Currently I have had a partial knee replacement and two bad shoulders that keep me up at night (working on getting fixed). Long story short we are selling and simplifying our living situation. It's just me and Jen knocking around in this big house and it doesn't make sense! So we are selling and currently have plans on moving into an apartment unless we find the right investment property in the meantime. I personally like the idea of rentals and my wife I feel kind of leans toward flipping. I really like the idea of passive income and the long term investment aspect. But I understand my wife's point of view as well. I will keep anyone who is interested in our progress up to date, and we appreciate said interest. We also can't say enough about this website! It is just the listening, reading, thinking of like-minded people that really gets me excited! Thank you so much for your time!
