Hello I just joined the army, and i was curious  are there any loans that can help me get a property if I am not living in it.

Every bank/lender, I have talked to says that, they only offer 30-year fixed loans on rental properties.I see that, there is 0.75 - 1 % difference rate in interest rates between 30-year fixed and 5/1 ARM. I

Have been researching and talking to other rental owners and property managers near a large Army installation and got some interesting insight. 

I am a 28 year old Army Veteran who visited California while on duty and decided when I got out I was gonna move here.

@Derek Henkes good to hear you're connecting up with other people on here - nice work on the Marine Corps, I just got out of the Army last year and did the VA route.  

My main job is as a real estate agent and my sister's is with the Army.

The loan has a higher than normal interest rate and a 5/1 Arm. I
