I have a potential deal but before I make an offer I would like to get more information on the house and its history.I've tried Zillow but the information seems incorrect and jumbled.

If they are incorrect in the requirement, they will drop it.

In fact, it would be good for all reading to know who told you that incorrect information as to help prevent others from taking bad and incorrect advice from this person or this meeting you referenced.Good wholesalers are typically finding off market deals through a number of resources (direct marketing, driving for dollars, referrals, word of mouth, internet presence, signs, ads, etc) and when dealing direct with a motivated seller, their contracts stipulate that the contract may be assigned.

I get the frustration with some internet experts who claim to be all knowing spewing "information" that I absolutely know to be incorrect.

Also, keep in mind, the majority of the "legal" advice you'll get on here (from those who have never litigated the subject at hand) is incorrect, damaging, and unsubstantiated.

To say that any business thinking of issuing securities will go to jail because some Joe who you knew, committed securities fraud and went to jail is simply incorrect.
