I guess you could say I have been in the real estate investing game since I was around 25 years old… My first investment involved buying a house outside of the army base that I was stationed at and having several of my roommates live with me to essentially pay the mortgage.Fast forward to five years later and I still only own one long-term real estate position.

@Alexander MonninAlex:There are a lot of my former students that entered into Real Estate because of the Rich Dad series.I think they are the best "Motivational" books out there and so I give it a lot of Credit for that.Probably without this book, there wouldn't be so many people that became RE Investors.However, this is a two edged sword.Prior to the Financial Crisis of 2007/8, there was a huge army of RE Investors that came into because of these kinds of books.Right after the crisis, there were a lot of them that lost a LOT of money.I've been investing for 2 decades.
