She comes from a very very wealthy family and I basically come from nothing being a army brat growing up.

I guess you could say I have been in the real estate investing game since I was around 25 years old… My first investment involved buying a house outside of the army base that I was stationed at and having several of my roommates live with me to essentially pay the mortgage.Fast forward to five years later and I still only own one long-term real estate position.

I live in Richmond Hill, GA, and have been stationed at Hunter Army Airfield for 2.5 years.I'm currently looking to build a Real Estate team and plan to purchase my first single-family home in the next 5 months (then renovate & rent before 2018).

So an army buddy of mine and myself are looking to break into the brrrr method within the next year but I have a few questions I cannot seem to find on the answers to on the forums.

I am a veteran, served in the US Army.

Are they just raising an army so they can out compete other agencies in the market?

I purchased a duplex with my first VA loan when I was still in the Army and when I separated used it again to purchase my primary residence while keeping the duplex.  

@Alexander MonninAlex:There are a lot of my former students that entered into Real Estate because of the Rich Dad series.I think they are the best "Motivational" books out there and so I give it a lot of Credit for that.Probably without this book, there wouldn't be so many people that became RE Investors.However, this is a two edged sword.Prior to the Financial Crisis of 2007/8, there was a huge army of RE Investors that came into because of these kinds of books.Right after the crisis, there were a lot of them that lost a LOT of money.I've been investing for 2 decades.

I'm an Army reservist currently on active duty orders in Tampa and I used a VA loan to buy a house here, even though I was only here on 1 year orders.

Hello I just joined the army, and i was curious  are there any loans that can help me get a property if I am not living in it.
