@John Fulton I believe the issue with the opposing views/commentary is that a lot of the information and beliefs are relative to one's own perception or experiences and ultimately their end goal.

You may of course describe what you feel or see... but perception often can be very different from the fact and you dont base investment decisions on just feelings.There are those on here who will often vehemently claim (wrongfully) that they have no idea what a housing affordability crises in LA even means.

Yes, I must sound like a douche, but I know that I am smart and smart enough to know that its not worth my time doing stupid meaningless and mindless tasks at a minimum wage to crawl up some societal ladder that I don't believe in and which frankly only exists in the minds of people who are not educated.

It would be inappropriate if a moderator were demeaning a specific political point of view - i.e. if I were to come out and denigrate all conservatives or Republicans - but there's nothing inappropriate about discussing (or even complaining) about perceptions of local/state/federal government policies or actions.
