We were in a similar situation and decided to look around.

If you want predictability, value hard assets, and like the tax advantages, then investing in a real estate syndication may be a good fit.

Sometimes if its in MERS it can get lost in a shuffle.

I bought in a location where market growth increases faster than average.

If you are paying no rent in your parents beach house that could bring in a lot more to your family being rented as a beach house during the season.
