You have multiple angles of attack with a paid off house.

This will be the foundational piece that will lay out a good plan of attack. 

I don't have a heart attack if I handled a piece of asbestos siding or tile flooring in good shape, but I wouldn't be caught around known asbestos insulation, drywall compound, etc. 

I got a quote for each property and about had a heart attack.

I was telling friends and family some of the stories of your early timber deals in conversation and not realizing you were also the one contributing to forums posts, frequently and pointing out license law violations, and calmly taking the attacks of those that swear they know more than you.

As @Jay Hinrichs pointed out, the sky didn't fall, it wasn't the apocalypse, and I might remind that at same time there was nuclear attack drills at all schools because same time we were knee deep into the cold war.

If you limit it and, say, view each of these line items as a project you could attack each one to completion or to the “next bottleneck” and then work on the other ones.
