Your leases signed by the PM should have been signed Joe Doe as agent for your name.If you were attempting to keep in anonymous background, then a new lease is the consequence of allowing the PM total signature authority.

An LLC does not automatically protect your personal assets if something goes wrong - look up piercing the veil.That said, I believe an LLC can provide a limited degree of anonymity if that's what you desire.
