As much as I believe in my abilities to sacrifice and trust in the process, I also know how ignorant I am by entertaining this idea due to the giants (such as you guys) who will absolutely squash me to death and be 10 steps ahead of me at all times.

@Curt Smith  It was worth it just to see the giant sewage lagoon nestled in the rocky mountains.

They could have foreclosed and probably waited 2-3 years and resold at a giant profit as things open up....but then they get regulators breathing down their necks, piss off all the borrowers, and then have to get in the business of running hotels...that when they would have foreclosed were money losers.   

If they can't justify with documentation the reasons, provide erratic partial information, or show an unwillingness to help then those are giant red flags.    

But essentially look for giant spaces, giant bedrooms where maybe there could be 2 instead of 1.

The industry seems to have divided itself in two: 1) The giant mega-HMLs who really have no competitive advantages except price and are absolutely killing each other racing to the bottom over rates, and 2) everyone else.I really haven’t seen anything change much.

I know a lot of the houses here were built in the early 1900's, I am not sure how many giant complexes were built back then.
