In Florida, the maximum interest rate that can be charged is 18% for loans that are up to $500,000 and 25% on loans that are greater than that amount.Usury is a criminal offense, and can vary between a misdemeanor and a felony depending on the amount of interest that is charged.

I've conducted several formal interviews for my day job in the past so I feel that have a good grasp on how to decipher whether potential tenant is a "good person" but having a little more difficulty confirming 'hard information' like credit and criminal reports.For example: I've received CreditKarma credit reports from potential tenants but found that it is quite difficult to confirm that the credit report provided is actually the credit report from the potential tenant (and not a fake credit report to make it seem they have a better credit score than what they actually have).

I immediately contacted the listing agent and told her that we would cooperate fully if she wanted to pursue legal action.That buyer was VERY lucky that the seller didn't sue him, but he was in a photo-finish with a criminal complaint.I think the moral of the story is to be squeaky clean in everything you do.

It’s a C class neighborhood in a small town, nothing huge is happening, but if I have competing stories coming in or need to report criminal activity, I figure having external security cameras would be worth it.

Just curious...Only once did I have one person ask for their money back...except he lied to me 3 times during the tour when I asked him about criminal and credit history AND on the application he lied on both counts.
