Besides the traditional aspects of deep cleaning — hardwood floor or stone floor polishing, carpet cleaning, dusting behind and under the furniture, window washing in the crevices, pressure washing, and vacuuming — focus on high-touch surfaces and sensitive areas like the bathroom and bedroom.

I would just have someone come in to touch them up and really polish them.

I can polish turds with the best of them but I can't kill the smell. 

They even polished our hardwood floors, which didn't need it. 

I spent 8 days on my hands and knees scrubbing cove base with a toothbrush and caked-on soap scum from the tub, scrubbing and painting walls, and taking 11 passes to the kitchen floor with a mop to strip/seal/polish it etc. to deliver a pristine perfect unit to these people.  

My drywall consist of taping, 3 coats, polish, primer, 2 coats of paint.

Don't think, just because a package looks polished and well put together, and there is a actual business behind the reps marketing it that it makes it a legitimate deal.
