One of the more overlooked downsides is the funding fee; however, if you have a service-connected disability rating, the VA funding fee is usually waived.

Again, I’m not sure if these guys do this to everyone or if their customer service ability as partners is just terrible.

I was very pleasantly surprised.I also built a tool myself, I had a lot of issues finding service person for different repairs need.

My $2000 also covers stuff that inevitably break under normal use - I had to replace a washer $700, a stove $600, a microwave $100, and a grill $400, all  within last 2 years, and paid close to $1000 for various service calls by electricians and HVAC techs and pest control. 

Third party servicing company for $35/mo handle taxes, insurance, escrow, tax forms, statements etc.
