Furnished mid-term rentals can definitely pull in higher rents, particularly with traveling nurses, corporate tenants, or relocators.

We have had a pipe burst during the cold winter months, the roof needed to be replaced (thankfully covered by our insurance), and some issues with electrical, which hasn't been majorly updated since it was built in 1973.

You must be able to verify you live somewhere else (utility bill, lease, updated ID etc..) 

I've kept it because of the structure of it and it is the easiest way for me to update my prices evenly across my properties.
