Sometimes people don't know because the atmosphere they are venturing into is so negatively charged (by comments) that they are afraid that someone will embarrass them with a negative response, when all they are trying to do is learn.

It's a bold move to buy a house is disastrous shape, and even though it's a step by step process,  to me and probably many others it feels like climbing a massive mountain. 

Personally, as someone who lives near the Poconos, I would recommend the mountains of VA, NC, or TN.

I live here and want a house in mountain somewhere but can never make the numbers work. 

Hello Bp, I wanted to hop on here and write about what I have seen in my backyard STR market in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.   

Samana appealed to me - it’s gorgeous, green, mountainous and lush (surprisingly so), small, friendly villages, amazing beaches.

Eventually, I’d like to get into long-term rentals (out of state) and short-term rentals (both in and out of state).Besides real estate, I’m really into outdoor activities like surfing, mountain biking, kitesurfing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and rock climbing.
