For me, as a software engineer, I am bias towards markets that have an emerging tech scene.

My wife is Mexican so we bought in her name and avoided the need for a trust for property on the coast.Overall Cabo is a short flight from many west coast destinations has great weather, food scene, fishing, and golf.

I guess there could still be unaccounted-for liens...I don't know enough about exactly how it works behind the scenes at title companies and what they have access to, The tax sales discussion is extremely informative, not that I understand it lol.

Cleveland has trendy and up and coming neighborhoods, a fantastic restaurant scene, 3 major league sports franchises, and is doing well in general.

When i mention "somewhat hard to setup" and it cost money, i meant exactly that - automatons.For me (again, my opinion), CRM is not just a place to store contacts (Google Contacts is awesome for that).For me the automation part, and all other little perks and tweaks which save you time by doing it behind the scene of your behave. 

We just took down our second building today, and would love to get more networked with the local investment scene in Minneapolis/St.

The sports scene here will also tear your heart out.

I'm very new to the real estate investing scene and learning my first step is getting my finances in order. 

I also went to grad school to study for my current position (I don't regret this, only setting the scene).My goal, for now, is to get started in buy and hold investing and to generate enough passive income so that we can cut back/stop working in our current fields within the next 10 years (earlier would be even better).I would love to make contacts with folks with experience and establish a mentoring relationship, especially with folks who invest in areas outside of their primary residence areas (Bay Area folks will know why I'm saying this).
