Doing MTR inside of your own house is not something I think trends that well.

Housing does annual checks and the units are usually kept well.

If they live at a single family house, you can try to drive by and check front and backyard also.

Buy houses at 70% of as is value.  

I’ve bought 14 houses with no out of pocket $ from built up equity.

My brother looked at around 50 houses before he found one that would work technically for a bank.  

This can range from local real estate clubs all the way up to multifamily specific events such as the National Multi Housing Council’s annual meeting.

It could be worth transitioning to a midterm rental if there's demand for that type of housing in your area, like traveling professionals or remote workers.
