The recommendations I've gotten from others have all been small shops that don't have license to work in Mpls. 

@Andy Mackey most of the loans I have been shopped over the past few years for multifamily have been 25 year amortization/5 year term loans.

I have seen this in my day job of funding these guys.. like 5 to 7 years ago I was funding at least 10 deals a month in Orlando for the top rehabbers and most were coming through a licensed brokerage that specialized in wholesaling.. they since closed shop.. not enough inventory to keep the doors open.. 

Melanie, I will be back roughly in December, but I intend on stopping in Norfolk to do some shopping while I'm on my "holiday".

You could shop around on that quote you got but only to reputable companies.

@Christian Wamsley you will have access to shop properties online while you are overseas, but this would just be to keep an eye on the market.
