I own a 2 Unit Property in Bayridge Brooklyn that I rent to roommates.

If you can get a 4 unit and a basement, that would be ideal and create major cash flow and equity creation, plus you can not worry about a property manager and boost your yield.COVID has loosened everything up and now 5% can be had in Manhattan, 6%-7% in Brooklyn and even 8% in the Bronx.

You can however find much higher positive cash flow out of small apartment buildings in Queens, Staten Island, Brooklyn areas..

Hey @Derek Southard 👋🏼I know nothing about NY but I have helped investors from Brooklyn invest in Chicago & Northwest Indiana where prices are considerably cheaper on the $200-250k range. 

I'm a new investor living in Brooklyn and exploring LI too.
