I also was hoping to be working fulltime during the start of this but im realizing that the job I have now isn't going to allow me to meet these finanical goals and now im wondering if I should take on a career in realestate, but the only one I really know of is realtor. 

Columbus has ranked on the top 10 markets that outline that for the past 6 months at least. the best place to buy new builds is in higher priceopint markets but where the costs haven't gotten out of control. besides that I'd recommend working with a vertically integrated land development, real estate development, and new construction firm or design build firm who also understands market conditions. 

I have a meeting with him scheduled this week, if I choose to go forward with the program I'll update here. 

I'd then set up a meeting to speak to that person face to face.
