I am hoping some of the excellent CPAs, such as Amanda Han (get her excellent book "The Book on Tax Strategies for the Savvy Real Estate Investor" if you don't have it already) post articles on the new tax plan after it is revealed today.

I can not find such a rule in the IRS publication.Also, @Amanda Han, in her informative post on the new tax law seemed to indicate that such purchases after September 27, 2017, could be now fully written off. 

@Amanda Han is California based and she's literally who wrong the book on taxes for bigger pockets.

The BP Podcast with Amanda Han on taxes last month really got the gears turning in my head.
