Look into the homes history on your county's web site(s).

You will quickly learn that most MLOs suck at REI mortgage math (hell, just read this website), hence all the fumbled pick-me-up deals.

These two websites will provide you with a lot of information such as average daily rate, occupancy rate, rental demand, seasonality, etc.
