That would be great and it would give you some time to learn your market and run numbers on potential deals that are in your target zone during that year of saving.I'm sure some of these pros here on BP could give you some more specific insights given the numbers you have provided.BTW, how did you get student loans at 2% I have a ton of SL debt and would consolidate it at that rate if it was possible.

Though he doesn't have cash in the bank, he could get a home equity loan very easily with the setup he is in (I don't know too many details there, but he helped me consolidate a few credit cards after college).
