When you peel back the layers, most insurance for STRs is provided by a small number of Lloyd’s of London syndicates.  

Even with the horrendous furnishings, orange peel textured walls and LITERALLY the ugliest clown fish bedding ever imagined, it somehow has a completely full booking calendar so we wanted to take advantage of that.

Then we peeled an Open House before going back with our realtor.

People looking for ways to get away without running afoul of mask mandates etc. took a lot of vacations at private homes in rural areas or whatever.Now that the pandemic is over, people are traveling in more traditional ways.

You could have a seperate document that they give it back to you at such time they move.You should be able to scrape and touch up ant cracked or peeling paint without a complete repaint of areas.

The mask mandate probably takes some blame too as it has also been *hot* this year.

No one pays more for new windows, but they’ll pay less if they are stuck, don’t open well, paint is peeling, etc.

It seems to generally be a higher grade flooring than the peel and stick.Mike
