If it is attached by seller, is seller responsible for enforcing it?

Heck, I don't know what I don't know, but I don't feel as though reading, guru seminars, etc...are poor ways of learning.I pose a question here:  How much money can be wasted on books and seminars vs. just doing and making mistakes...some that have a domino and long term loss attached to them?
