I also am deeply concerned about him tackling the foundation since when he says "he will have a guy look at it," I read that to mean this will be really amateur work and in no way will it be done correctly.

@Tim Grillot - I love to do stuff around the house, but tackling a project as big as this and traveling from NV to MO to do it is just not practical, especially because I just took 3 weeks off work.
