Sounds like such an exciting time for you!

That sounds silly, but a lot of these midwest markets have risks that you wouldn't think of being from Seattle.

Now I'm looking at real estate to see how I can build a small portfolio and would love to make some connections here for advice and sounding boards.  

This sounds very confusing.. 

Then it sounds like the seller doesn't really want to sell.

In others experience is this return worth the risk given Multi-family environment ie supply, interest rates, project specific risks, illiquidity risk, and more specifically the Preferred Equity subordinated tranche risk (this sounds like just a Mezzanine loan without recourse).

I have heard some podcasts that (if I were not experienced) sounded like they knew what they were doing, but down under they got lucky, and didn't do it right.

It sounds like you really cover all the bases when making these decisions.

It just doesn't sound right to me and I think because they're so new, I'm not finding much in terms of reviews/recommendations of their company.
