I spent almost 14 years in Jersey City before moving to Mount Vernon, so I have some experience in Newark.  

Currently analyzing the properties in this area of Mount Vernon.

My dad lived in Mount Pleasant for 16 years and we would visit often.

Because I would like to purchase in an area where the houses will most likely appreciate over time, and I can add value through remodeling.In case there were no more viable properties in SL and EP, I have also been looking at Elysian, Angelino Heights, Glassell Park, as well as Mount Washington.

I've got a good 5 months to educate myself and mount my search before the lease is up on my apartment.Chris, thanks for your suggestion about interviewing a handyman.  

Anyone in/ near Mount Vernon, WA have a recommendation for professional advise setting up a business license?
