Hi There,I am a new landlord in CT, and inherited my first tenant.My insurance company recently forced me to replace my roof, so I had it replaced last week.My tenant called after the work was done stating that the contractors had left thick dust over everything in the attic, and had damaged something of theirs when moving it.I am going to inspect the attic tomorrow.Has anyone every dealt with something like this before?

This is super important because if you miss on point #1 above, you still have a "buffer" to insulate you to some degree from short term market fluctuations.3)I ALWAYS make sure financially I can easily afford to hold the property through thick and thin.

It is very thick and durable, being nearly commercial grade.In renting houses, it may actually be more preferable to tile the kitchen and bathrooms, and put a good wood laminate for the remaining rooms, including the bedrooms.

Unless you're talking about foot thick concrete, it will sound like  a herd of elephants upstairs.What I would do is ask the downstairs unit if they would stay if you got rid of the upstairs problem.
