As a native Texan who was born and raised in San Antonio, went to college out of state and then returned to Texas -- Austin for 15 years and then Houston for the last 8 years, I think I can address your question.

While this is changing with the younger generation, and with all the tech people from California moving to Austin, property rights is still a hot button issue among native Texans and older transplants such as myself.  

I'm a Nashville native and am familiar with the various neighborhoods around the city, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on which neighborhoods were best for investing?
