I am former Army (about ten years) and my wife is current Air Force, so there is still a bit of moving in my future.

When you leave your W2/LES you will have trouble getting approved for a normal SFH but you can utilize this year of deployment to study the multi family sector and work with a multi-family broker and lender so that when you come out of the Army you have purchased or are ready to purchase a 5-plex or higher, as commercial properties don't measure your income but instead measure the income produced by your property.

I m planing to join army and save every penny that I can since I am young I basically have no expenses also the army will cover most of my expenses and I am really good at saving money.

However, I have never had a W2 job except being in the Army in the late 80's
