What I have seen is crew comes in with 15 laborers big holes are punched through the slab every 5 feet or so.. and then big holes are hand dug down then re filled with cement.

I have seen the occasional tenant pour cement down the drainpipe or other intentional damage(No they were not prosecuted) but that is rare as well.

I parged the walls but it didn't eliminate the leaking, but being a low profile root cellar type basement with antiquated french drainage it suffices for now.Thankfully the front area (30x15) of the basement was built as a 'bomb shelter' so the solid poured cement walls & ceiling do not leak or bow & definitely supports the rest of the building.

I stopped by yesterday and saw more work had been done including replacing the drywall in the bathtubs with cement board and the entire basement stone foundation had been drylocked.Still lots to go but it was progress nonetheless.Will keep you posted!

I have coated floors 5 times and not had it work - cement is the worst because it can penetrate deep.
