I’m currently on section 8 I mailed my 30 day notice but my landlord said he never received it so I asked if I could take it to the office since he’s a lawyer he said he was out of town so I went anyway well there he was leaving I tried to give it to him he refused to take it He said I could drop it off inside I left it inside I asked for receipt the female worker she said yes then he called and she said no So I told her it’s ok I’ll take picture of the business cards next to the letter and she said if I took any pictures or took my phone out she would call the police on me and started yelling And asked me to leave He said I have to follow what’s in the lease I said His name the lease says I have to give u30 day notice i am month to month I mailed u one and dropped one off one today today since he keeps refusing them today it’s dated Jan 7 -feb 7 and today is jan 9 now is 29 days now cause he’s delaying and says he won’t have time to review the lease till the following day to see if he can accept itI told him I complied with California law I dropped it in person handwritten mailed him a 30 day notice my daycare witnessed as refused to take the letter from me housing already accepted my notice and is inspecting new unit on the 13 and starting payment I’m the following 8 what happens with this landlord I can mail a certified letter this time it’s my first time having this issue but housing already has everything set can he make a big thing if it was dated the 1-7-2020-2-7 -2020and he didn’t receive it till 1-9-2020 and technically he didn’t get it in his hand the girl left it on his desk so they can still say they never got it don’t know why he’s doing this
