The non grounded 2 prong outlets should be upgraded to include modern and safer 3 prong receptacles which provide a pathway for the current to travel harmlessly to the ground.

I’m closing on my ideal 4-plex near a major university and medical centers using an FHA loan.

I could get a travelers cheque or a bank draft.

@Lupe RodriguezI taught ESL in Korea for 5 years as well.If I could go back, I would invest in Notes. that way I could invest anywhere and live anywhere.If I had started note investing before I left Korea, I probably would still be traveling the world.

Most students want to be close enough to walk/bike so the only way you'd be able to lure them away is to have really cheap rent, which wouldnt support the cost to build new.If you do build on the lot, then I think you'd have better luck marketing to the medical workforce. 

This is because it is largely tourist based and in recessionary times, one of the first things cut is discretionary travel.  

My goal with rentals long term is to build enough of a portfolio up to be able to replace my income from my job and just have the financial freedom to be able to travel/be worry free.

This past experience really got me interested in real estate.I travel a lot for my current job, which I enjoy, but I hope to one day have the freedom to create my own schedule, wealth, and be able to have more time to spend with my family and friends. 

I took this less traveled path so that I could grow a real estate management biz and further dovetail into syndication of large apartment communities.
