It also encouraged me to pick a strategy instead of succumbing to the "shiny ball syndrome" of getting excited about every strategy that I hear about on the podcast or read about in a book.If you want the bare minimum for your plan, I would suggest you include your Mission (what are your intentions), Goals (where you want to be), Strategy (how you intend to accomplish your goals), Criteria (how you will evaluate your deals to reduce risk of loss), Financing (how you intend to pay for your investments), Exit Strategy (how will you make money or cap losses when things don't according to plan), and a few example deals to show proof of concept to lenders and potential partners.https://www.biggerpockets.com/real-estate-investin...I hope this helps and good luck!

A bad apple can spoil the bunch.While the candy store influences people individually and may influence a larger area in it's mission, RE has a much greater impact socially and economically.As an investor, do you see that?

The 2nd mtg holder wanted to do exactly what happened....send it to foreclosure and hope a couple of bidders who weren't sure of what they were doing, bid it up so they got a pay day...mission accomplished for them. 

I was very sceptical and my mission really was to identify "the catch" with REI - I did not understand why not everyone was doing this, but thats a different story. 

It becomes "mission creep" and you end up far from where you originally intended. 

My plan is to eventually buy a 3 bedroom house in Mission Viejo, CA unfortunately, in today’s a market that will cost no less than $600K if you’re lucky enough to even find it.

I am in Mission Viejo and can meet at a Starbucks.

I specifically work with MFR and I make it a daily mission to wake up earlier or stay up later spending two undivided hours every day working my business.
