When you applied for the loan for the foreclosure and were denied, they should have provided you with an adverse action letter advising you who they obtained your credit information from and that you are entitled to a free copy.

Always provide the Adverse Action letter, and do not provide any further info, or give them a chance to fix, correct, get money from elsewhere, or whatever.

Add in the fact that the title agent may have an interest which could be adverse to the Insured's would render the giving of the advice a conflict of interest and would probably be prohibited by the local Bar's rules of ethics.

I don't necessarily agree with the position, but if the objective is to collect the $30,000, it can only do harm to the contractor's business which is adverse to Kevin's objective.
