Texas in general, for Cali dude, be mindful of property taxes ( ever adjusting upwards), foundation issues, land up the ying yang, funky appraisals and Cali still collects any income tax just for fun.

So there's some yin and yang magic going on here.If you're in escrow for some other mortgage that isn't disclosed to underwriting, how can DTI, and # of financed properties, and other things, possibly be calculated before it's known with 100% certainty if that other mortgage will, or will not, fund/close?

@Vickie Yang for the most part what investors try to do is find a property in disrepair to buy, rehab, then refinance (the BRRR strategy) and that's how we limit our out of pocket expenses.
