You may have to build either a dormer in the roof and use a traditional casement widow or a platform level with the ground at the "hatch" with catwalk to the edge of the building and escape stairs/ladder.

ADOM was ~40 days so probably not an indication of a "strong" rental market (most homes in the neighborhood are indeed owner occupied), but maybe just enough of a demand to allow us to lease it out for a couple years before letting the property go.The other issue is that we probably won't be able to move out of the current house until late Sept / early Oct, so might miss the "summer move-in" widow just slightly...

We agreed at the time of closing to a Delayed Possession Agreement for the garage (something I will never do again, BTW, but we were told that the owner was recently widowed, having a hard time and would really appreciate the extra time to clean out the garage, so we wanted to be nice - oops!).

paperwork  was signed and money exchanged on March 3rd 2020...Pat and her 2 felon sons have terrorized this small neighborhood  for years and years... we put a contract on the home  in an effort to help the neighborhood, we will be tearing down the home as meth was cooked in it for years... should we stay the course  to buy the property and wait her out or can she really just cry  "I'm  a poor widow,  you tricked me"  and she gets to stay.... any help at all will be helpful  because our attorney  is  completely out of his depth on this... thanks in Florida
