There was a recent article linked here on BP about a mom & pop landlord that were hit with, I believe it was $43,000 fine for NOT handling an ESA request properly, so proper preparation is money very well spent on this issue.As part of our Policy, we provide a sample form to be completed and signed by their medical Professional or Social Worker confirming 1) the person has a qualifying disability ("qualified" per the HUD/FFH guidelines), and 2) the animal performs a task or relieves symptoms of the disability.

I'm just not sure quite how to structure this since selling their house and moving seems overwhelming to them (most elderly don't want to make the leap until they absolutely have to BUT I'm also worried that Alzheimer's runs in my family and I would like my mother to be familiar with a new location for a while before symptoms begin setting in).
