There are several low-class folks, like gang-members, ex-convicts, punks, etc. that like to strut around with a pit-bull as a status symbol.

Some call this their avatar, image, representation, etc.It would go in the place of the "shadowman" holding the dollar symbol.

Many get the animal as a bad *** status symbol, like don't mess with me or my dog thing and to strike fear in the hearts of those who passby.

In Japan, a raccoon is a symbol of prosperity.....and they were demonstrating just how prosperous he was....LOL...
