John,The system does not track fees or payments to scouts.

After that happened I had the time to scout out a county that is about 150 miles away from my primary, and purchase a foreclosure more than DOUBLING my investment.

The good news is that over the next 3-4 years, you will get to know the property in and out and know it's quirks and also be able to scout out a good property manager in the area (since other folks in your chain of command and sphere's of influence will also be in the same situation as you. -- Own and then move and will need to rent their places out.)

I did end up making a trip and doing some scouting back in May. 

I have already scouted the area I am moving too and there are 6-10 profiting buildings and 2 big ones (300-400/door fourplex).Just wondering if anyone had insight on overcoming this.

I'll be back at it once I get my current project finished up, but with more experience and hopefully more funding.One thing I notice from driving around and scouting the areas I look at, is that not all of the properties that have signs out front, don't always show up on the MLS/Redfin etc.

My friend has told me that they're starting to get pretty nervous about holding onto the property, and I contacted one of the partners (it's a husband and wife team) earlier this week about interest in the property.I don't have any details yet other than it's a 2 bed 2 bath unit in an area that I have scouted and like I don't know yet what the asking price is.
