Due to our love of traveling and hating the negatives that LTR brings along, we prefer STR and offering the same memorable experiences to travelers that we have experienced when traveling.

lots can go into this somewhat simple question and most of it is personal preference.- you'll want to define "best", and what that looks like for you as a success.- How much money do you have to spend?

Finding good STR's can be a niche market, so it's a good idea to find an agent that is familiar with STR so they can point you in the right direction for zoning, good markets, etc. 

Many investors analyzing deals 24/7 prefer transparent, predictable costs that align with their ROI goals.

However, once we implemented technology a few years ago, even our local clients prefer to avoid driving and switched to doing business remotely.

Every situation is unique although I prefer to self manage.

Knowing my situation, if my wife and I were doing something like this, I'd be OK with buying something sooner and cheaper, but my wife would prefer to wait a little longer to save more to buy something nicer.

Done multifamily, SFR, STRs... and finally found the niche that I love the most and believe has the most potential for decades to come.
