I think depends on number of units, We have a personal small rental business, I give a small happy holidays happy new years gift of like a mug with cocoa in it or candy, like 7 bucks a piece at club stores.Larger complex no.

If your short-term rental is illegal, you won't be able to maintain a sustainable income and you will risk heavy fines from the city or the IRS.We are working a lot on Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach in Florida since the real estate is cheap over there and you short rental is legal there.Bottom line, if you live in a touristic city with no restrictions it's manageable to manage 1 or 2 units.

But also note it is critically important to tell the broker up front what you expect of him or her, what you need of him or her, and what your investment goals are in the finest detail.
