Not trying to fight with my daughter about it.. however I have a son headed to Miss State, and I intend to do what you have done.Curious.. at what age can someone buy a house?

Especially if there is reasonable evidence that there was some  glitch I cant full prove one way or the other....not worth the fight over a few $$ for a one time issue.

I am of an age that I don’t want to fight those unnecessary battles when the problems arise.

If it is some kind of big deal like it is an old metal barn eyesore on a downtown city block undergoing revitalization and you're going to build a $10mil apartment building on it, if you can get the land...hey hey maybe the powers that be might negotiate something with you, with perhaps a promise you won't fight value for 10 years or something like that. 

When and if you ever go out of state you'll still have to start and keep filing that pesky FTB 3840 with the state.  

Told this story here before, we bought a property where the seller had been in a bar fight and had a judgement for medical injuries from the other person in the bar fight. 

Most of the work needed to be done by the seller as they were the ones carrying it and it was owned by several family members who were getting into a fight, etc etc.

Others choose to fight the current, or they figure out how to work with the current to make some progress.The people who choose to keep swimming learn.

But heck now I have to fight thru advertising to see anything. 

I have to fight every single invoice that has random stuff added to them.
