What Happened to BP?

I’ve been away for a while (enough about me)

What the heck happened to BP?  I see a few of the guys who contributed and built this place however it doesn’t feel the same.  Not even close.

What happened?

I remember the call from Josh early in the 2000’s asking my opinion about his vision.  Where did the vision go?  Not to be critical but  advertising wasn’t allowed.  Heck I had a lot of posts removed because they were on the line of promotion.  Not a problem.  But heck now I have to fight thru advertising to see anything.

I did a google.  And this Reddit post struck me as odd.

I feel it's went way down hill, especially since Brandon Turner left. Ever since David Greene tool over it just seems it's about pumping out as many videos as possible and not actually providing and quality information.

Who is David Greene?

It’s kind of sad.

Quote from @Michael Quarles:

Brandon used BP to learn how to invest better. He was successful because he was on a learning journey and we all enjoyed taking the ride with him. When he got really good at it, he left to make more money.

I suspect you did the same. BP was apparently useful to you, but you eventually left to pursue something that put money in your pocket. Now you're back because you think BP can help your business. Everyone is here to make money, one way or the other.

People come here to learn. They eventually reach a point where they tire of reading the same questions and answers, or they are too busy with other pursuits to stay involved. There are a few masochists like myself or Jay who enjoy giving the same answers to the same questions. Over and over again. I'm a small-town Wyoming boy that doesn't make a dime from all my efforts in BP, but I enjoy networking, learning, and helping others grow their business. And, like everyone else, I will be leveraging my efforts to put money in my pocket real soon. Stay tuned!

Advertising? I think it's too much and too expensive, but BP is a company that wants to increase returns, just like all of us. BP is still the best place to go for free education and resources.
