For flooring I am currently using all porcelain tile in kitchens and baths.

If I wanted to go all out, I'd probably buy a marble look laminate top for the vanity with no backsplash (from ikea) and get a couple of the square porcelain drop in sinks from MR direct and then put up a tiny tile backsplash under the mirror and replace the cabinet knobs with chrome to match the other hardware.

I wanted to chime in here having had to deal with pet urine recently, though mine was minor and on porcelain tile (exactly why I chose tile for this unit)!

Water meters have arrived to submeter all 8 units, 3600lbs of porcelain tile and ceiling fans are here as well. 

Unit has brand new Berber carpet from previous owner but am thinking of installing either hard wood, engineered wood or porcelain tile.Anyone have a good floor installer or contractor who could do the work?
