Since you are already familiar with house hacking, I would consider converting your current home into a rent-by-room or whatever it takes to keep it as a long-term rental, then look for another home you can hack.

All the rest can be subbed out unless you are doing a full remodel by adding square footage to the house/converting a space (bath/bed etc).

Can anyone recommend a company that offers a builders risk policy to cover the construction period but then will also allow a cancellation and refund after work is finished to convert into a standard landlord policy.
